IZZY FIRST DEVLOG

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first devlog for my amazing game Izzy that I've very slowly been chipping away at a bit over the course of a few monthes. I want to use this as a small little page dedicated to outlining what i want to do with this and what i plan for it. SO YEAH!!! 

Izzy is planned to be split into multiple chapters, and i plan to release the first chapter then everything all at once when its done. How many chapters it will be i don't know, were kinda just going with the flow here at this stage, but more planning will be done later so i don't get fucked over in the ass. The chapters won't have any specific focus as the game itself doesn't have one goal or anything. I find the idea to just come up with new scenarios and things about characters as i go to be very fun.  I have an idea of what each character is like and how they act but it might take a bit to get a grasp on them so i plan on making mistakes and learning from them and getting better understandings. Ive already scrapped a whole section with Izzy and Jackie that i got like halfway through. This is also my first time writing any characters so i hope my awkward meaningless chit chat between gay teens and directionless adults tickles your brains. I initially wanted to make this game really uncomfortable and off in atmosphere at every moment, like even in mundane moments the music would be dark ambient or weird, and while i think that would be a really unique angle to go for, i think the more casual vibe i wanna capture in its music and style is a better choice at least for the earlier moments in the game. The times for uncomfortableness will come and i will be prepared for it!!! Main genres im going for are trip hop, baggy, vapor, ambient, and stuff like that. Music will be all over the place but hey so will the game!!!! There won't be a big cast at all, im mainly gonna focus on the main 3 in the friend group and some of Izzy's relatives. The game won't be entirely rpg type gameplay with walking around. Lots of the time it'll be more visual novel-esque with text and accompanying art. There will still be time to walk around the various locations of this wonderful beautiful world and izzys mind. Speaking of wonderful beautiful world, Izzy takes place in a fictionalized Flagstaff. Thats not very important to the story but its info.
